What Is The Gift Of Drama?

Many people will tell you that they don’t like or don’t want drama, but ask about their favorite movies or TV shows and you quickly learn that’s just not true.

People love drama because it creates contrast by which things can be seen more clearly.

The thing we don’t like is when the drama doesn’t pay off in a resolution.

This is the point towards the end when all the clues come together to form a picture from which a conclusion can be made.

Without the resolution, a story lingers unsolved and incomplete.

It’s annoying.

It takes up too much mind space.

It’s hard to move on.

We like drama because it sets us up for resolution.

Therefore, the gift of drama is clarity.

While there are many unresolved items from 2020, each of us has the power to draw our conclusions about what the drama of 2020 has made clear.
